Latest News Updates on High Security Plates
- High Security Plates are now Mandatory in - Chandigarh, Haryana and New Delhi for New Cars in India. Any new car getting delivered from showroom to mandatory carry high security plate
- In HSRP, apart from high security plates in front and rear a self destructive sticker is also affixed on the windshield of passenger car
- Only a single vendor assigned in Chandigarh despite having over 7,50,000 vehicles with task of completion as next 2 years
- On first day close to 90 cars had HSRP affixed in Chandigarh
- To cover 7.5 Lakh vehicles in 2 years - 1000 vehicles should be the target in actual . Add up to the new cars which will get registered

- As per Estimates, not more than 5% of the vehicles still carry High Security Plate with them at present despite 10 months of starting up of this HSRP Procedure in Delhi.
